Angelo Artemas

A priest with the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese for more than three decades, Fr. Angelo Artemas presently engages with the Greek American Motorcycle Association as chaplain. From 1997 to 2016, Fr. Angelo Artemas served as pastor at Metropolis of Chicago.

Fr. Artemas’ past ministerial experience includes a role as director of the Youth Ministry of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in New York City from 1991 to 1997. Prior to this position, he served as a pastor with Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Toledo, Ohio. He has also undertaken roles as chaplain of St. Michael’s Home and Rehabilitation in Yonkers, New York, and of the HIV Unit at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Fr. Artemas holds a master’s and a doctor of divinity from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary and has served on the board of his alma mater. His background also includes serving as a regular columnist for the Orthodox Observer and as an active lecturer at area institutions including Wheaton College and Marquette University.
